O Mary, Queen of Pentecost

O Immaculate Theotokos, Star of Evangelization, At Pentecost’s mighty wind and tongues of flame, how was it for thee in contrast with Annunciation’s gentle overshadowing? There, thy fiat conceived the Eternal Word; here, the Paraclete birthed His Mystical Body through thee. How was it unlike Simeon’s prophesied sword of sorrow, piercing thy soul at the Cross? Did this Upper Room fire bring paschal surety, sealing thy perfect “yes” to the Father’s salvific will? How didst thou dwell with the first Church — the Apostles — as Regina Apostolorum, Mother of the nascent Ecclesia, praying in the Cenacle’s sacred unity? O tender Mother, how beholdest thou the Church today? Amid synodal confusion, clerical scandals of abuse and avarice, liturgical profanations, relativism equating sangoma to the Holy Ghost, and AI’s false deities? Our South Africa groans under corruption and anti-Christian drift; personal losses erode faith in the Triune God; the Church risks becoming mere social cohesion rather than herald of salvation. How should we celebrate this Pentecost? How does the same Spirit confirm us to the Father’s will amid disorientation? Grant us tangible realities: sacramental grace, fidelity to the Deposit of Faith, and hidden holiness. [New Prayer from Thy Heart] Come, Holy Spirit, Veni Sancte Spiritus! Renew the face of the earth. Dwell in our hearts, expel doubt and sin, inflame us with zeal for holiness. O Divine Consoler, against the tide of corruption and false gods, make us docile to thy Spouse the Church, that Christ may reign anew. Amen.
