[Audio Book] Prisoner 248 and the Greater Prison

V6

Prisoner 248 awakens in darkness with no name, no memory, and no idea how he came to be there. From beyond the stone walls, a mysterious disembodied woman offers guidance, leading him through sealed chambers, guarded halls, and the dangers of an ancient dungeon. Armed with nothing but instinct and the voice he cannot see, 248 must rely on observation, timing, and trust as he searches for a way out. [Female narration remains calm, controlled, and consistent throughout. No shouting.] [Intro/Opening] Awaken. Come now... open thine eyes. Canst thou hear me? Good. Thou art the two hundred and forty-eighth soul to awaken within these walls. Thus, I shall call thee 248. No name? No memory? How terribly convenient. And before thou seekest key or hidden latch... thy chamber was never locked. Push the door. [Metal door creaks] There we are. [Verse 1] Before thee lies the first chamber. The way forward shall not yield until stone meets its proper form. [Pause] 248? Very well. Plainly, then. Match each stone to the shape carved in the wall. Yes. Exactly like that. [Stone mechanism turns] Good. Plain speech it is. [Verse 2] The next room holds three statues. Only one faces away from the throne. Turn that one. No, not the winged figure. The other one. Yes. [Stone grinds] There. The passage is open. Keep moving, 248. [Instrumental Interlude] [Low drone, soft organ, distant footsteps through stone corridors] [Bridge: The Barracks] Stop. The doorway ahead leads through the guards' barracks. Move silently. Do not make a sound. [Music nearly disappears] Beware. Keep going... Good. Now move. [Verse 3: The Guardian] Wait. The guardian ahead is no creature of flesh. Do not fight it. That would be unwise. Watch its steps. When it raises its foot, move beneath it. Stay low. Wait for the opening... Now. [Music builds with low percussion] Through its legs! Keep moving! Do not look back. [Outro] There. The gate. You have done well, 248. You escaped your cell. You crossed the dungeon. And now you stand beyond its walls. [Brief pause] But do not mistake this for freedom. This dungeon was only the smaller prison. The lands beyond it... are larger still. Go east. Beyond the blackened fields, find the ruined chapel beneath the old hill. Meet me there. There is much you have yet to learn. And 248... welcome to the greater prison. [End of Part 1]
