[Intro] (soft guitar, tambourine, distant harmonies) Mirror, mirror on the wall Who's the fairest of them all? [Verse 1] Snow White wandered through the trees With seven shadows at her knees Birds were singing in the morning light Everything was sweet and everything was bright But far away behind the castle door A jealous queen was pacing on the floor She looked into her silver glass And whispered, “Beauty never lasts” [Pre-Chorus] Round and round the mirror spins Tell me where her story ends Round and round the shadows crawl Who's the fairest of them all? [Chorus] Apple red, apple bright Little taste of paradise Take one bite, close your eyes Dream away beneath the skies Apple red, shining sweet Something wicked looks so neat Snow White, don't you see? That little apple's meant for thee [Verse 2] An old strange woman came along Singing softly a crooked song “Pretty little girl, won't you take a bite? It's the sweetest thing you'll taste tonight” Snow White smiled and took the prize Never saw the danger in disguise One little bite and down she fell While somewhere far away a bell... [Break] (music stops) ...rang. [Bridge] Seven little voices calling her name Seven little footsteps running through the rain Then a stranger came riding through the night With a kiss that brought her back to life [Final Chorus] Apple red, apple bright Lost her kingdom for the night Queen looked down and cried, “No fair!” But Snow White was already there Apple red, lying on the floor Mirror cracked beside the door Snow White smiled and walked away And the fairest one had won the day [Outro] (psychedelic guitar + harmonies) Mirror, mirror... On the wall... (whispered) Not anymore. [Final guitar chord]
