[Verse 1] I brought a ten and a grin For a soda and a win But the glass just flashed my face And the buttons lost their place The chip bag hung like a dare My orange drink stayed in there I shook the whole metal box Got a sad little tick-tock [Pre-Chorus] Come on, come on Give me something One small treat For this bad luck [Chorus] Broken vending machine You know what I mean I want it, want it, want it now Broken vending machine You’re mean, so mean But I keep coming back somehow [Verse 2] There was dust on the coil And a note saying "please don't rock" Some kid left a quarter coin Wedged in back by the lock I tapped twice, then three Like that could set me free A can rolled close, then froze Right where my fingers couldn't go [Pre-Chorus] Come on, come on Don't tease me One small hit Make it easy [Chorus] Broken vending machine You know what I mean I want it, want it, want it now Broken vending machine You’re mean, so mean But I keep coming back somehow [Bridge] Then the janitor laughed Said, "Son, that box is tired" He gave one solid slam And the whole thing came alive My drink fell with a thud Like it knew I was the one I held that cold blue can Like a trophy in my hand [Chorus] Broken vending machine You know what I mean I want it, want it, want it now Broken vending machine You’re mean, so mean But I keep coming back somehow [Outro] Yeah, I keep coming back Yeah, I keep coming back Broken vending machine You know what I mean
