Rain in a grid On stone (On stone...) I stand where the walls go dark A shallow mirror holds the weight Rain keeps time with patient hands Every drop remembers shape Cold air turns in narrow loops It leans, it waits, it does not speak Footsteps fade to mineral dust Then dissolve beneath the leak Pressure in the hollow Pressure in the skin Something deep is waking Something deep within Stone holds me Rain folds me And moves me inward ....without a word Muted rings above the water Little moons of tarnished sound Steel touched soft and left to linger Long enough to map the ground There is no door in this chamber Only layers, slow and old I can feel the lower heat Through the cool that shapes the cold Underneath the patient floor A red river shows my face Not a fire, not a warning Just a vast and ancient frame Breath by breath I lose my edges Breath by breath I let it in Stone holds me Rain folds me And pulls me down Pulls me down...
