Man “Lemonade” has such a great vibe. It keeps this molasses energy from Ballads and builds some cool modern layers on top. This song literally inspired me to make hand-squeezed lemonade, and it was pretty good, so there's that. Anyway, I love a good metaphor, and also love super low bass synths, and also a big finish reprise, so this really works for me. This was like a 50/50 ReMi cowrite, but I remember the bridge was all ReMi and I still don’t know what to make of it but I love it. I feel like it means something different to me every time I listen to this song. This is also one of my favorite video art covers I’ve made as well, I’ve been on this surreal collage kick with Midjourney that's kind of painted the aesthetics of most of this album, and this one is very weird with the lemon melting more than it is being juiced and I really dig the vibe, very trippy.
