[Verse] Stars were shining in the sky Silent night where angels fly Whispers filled the air with cheer Miracles were drawing near [Verse 2] In a manger cold and bare Holy child lay resting there From above great joy did rain Angels sang without refrain [Chorus] Gloria the heavens cried Light of love they magnified Echoes of the angels’ voice At god's birth they did rejoice [Verse 3] Shepherds watched their flocks by night Saw the sky ablaze with light Messengers with words so sweet Guiding them to Jesus' feet [Chorus] Gloria the heavens cried Light of love they magnified Echoes of the angels’ voice At god's birth they did rejoice [Verse 4] Wise men traveled from afar Following the guiding star Gift of gold and incense rare Laid before Him with a prayer
