Chorus 'OLE BRAWNY' Ole Brawny was a throwback from the Mustang days, One of those hardheaded creatures That always let pride get in the way.... He had been caught up before in a band with others, Prod , shod by his and tattooed with all his sisters and brothers.... Soon after, didn't come quick enough Brawny throwed that rope off from around his head, just like he planned, Then cleared the top rail in that open pen And headed out across the land.... (Chorus) Ole Brawny He took off toward the mountains Where he had come from, And as the story goes he was still on the run.... They put up WANTED posters and a bounty on his head, Searching for the one named 'BRAWNY' For any information, if he's alive or dead.... Well that day finally came On a radio dispatched from an airplane, If he's black with some white across his back, We have located him and his pack.... Soon the roundup would begin Ole Brawny, was the last one in, It took three tranquilizers to slow him down, Never before was this kind of strength and stamina found.... The ranch was dead set on breaking him Cause he'd never been rode, With a blind fold across his face His nostrils would swell when he blowed.... He stood fourteen and a half hands Tattooed and poorly shoed, Saddled up and hobbled Brawny had a plan of just what to do.... There was hollering, daring and betting on the side, For the next Cowboy up To see if he could ride.... He stuck the toe of his boot Deep into the stirrup's loop And grabbed for a hand full of hair, But before he could get a leg over Brawny hurled him high into the air.... Chorus —( ole Brawny) They all jumped back Their yelling turned to a hush, Again waiting on another Cowboy to come down outta that cloud of dust.... Ole Brawny looked on With twenty one tries and never been rode, As if to say, ''there ain't a Rope or Cowboy That can't be throwed".……
