The tent is in tatters
the deck full of holes
Green eyes peer from within 
that see through your souls.
The cannons are rusty
with faded red paint
A zombie gorilla
pulls at his restraints!
As a tentacle rises 
from out of the sea
and pulls at the mast 
sending falling debris

HEY!  STOP THAT!  WHAT HAVE I TOLD YOU-!......(sorry, he's just excited.)

The captain emerges with rotting green skin
"GET READY! THE SHOW IS ABOUT TO BEGIN!"

Come aboard the ship! The deck is wet so please don't slip!
But once you hand in your ticket its a one way trip!
And don't mind the smell it's just the devil dogs from hell!

with a shriek of despair
haunting chords from the pipe
organ tear through the air!
A skeleton torso 
climbs up the trapeze
while the legs on the other side swing by the knees!
They combine in mid air 
in a jumble of bones
then land whole again 
with a bow and a groan!
The undead menagerie 
smells like it should
but the weight of the crowd
 is now splintering the wood!

The clowns begin to grin showing barnacles for teeth
while the strongman juggles cannons to the crowd's disbelief!
The captain descends and yells:

"Now for the final act! But if you wish to leave here breathing DON"T MAKE EYE CONTACT!!"

I awoke on the docks to the pounding of my head
then clambered off empty rum bottles used for my bed
I wondered was it all a dream? Or just something in my eye?
As a tentacle rose from the depths
and waved to me goodbye...

That's it! I knew coming to the docks was a bad idea. What was I even thinking anyway? I don't fish, I don't have a boat, I CAN'T EVEN SWIM! I'm never coming back here again!    Wait, do I smell .....popcorn?!
