Trust Myself

V6

⸻ [VERSE 1] One minute you love me, next minute you throwing dirt, smiling in my face while you hoping that I hurt. You tell me that you got me, then you disappear when I’m down, but soon as something good happens, here you come back around. What the fuck is that? I gave you my trust, you gave me suspicion. Gave you my heart, you turned it into ammunition. Now every conversation got me reading between the lines, wondering if you’re really happy or just waiting for me to decline. I can’t tell if you love me or you’re studying my weaknesses. I can’t tell if you’re supporting me or secretly competing with me. That’s a fucked-up place to be. ⸻ [PRE-CHORUS] I thought I had my head straight, thought I finally understood. Then somebody shows another side I never thought they would. Now I’m questioning everybody, questioning everything. How the fuck can I trust a person when their mask keeps changing? ⸻ [CHORUS — BIG, EMOTIONAL] I don’t even know who the fuck to trust no more. One minute you’re at my table, next you’re kicking down my door. I don’t know who’s really with me, I don’t know who’s keeping score. So if your energy ain’t right— DON’T COME AROUND ME NO MORE. I don’t wanna fight. I don’t wanna argue. I just want my peace. If you bring chaos to my doorstep, you don’t get a key. I don’t even know who the fuck to trust no more… So I’m learning how to trust myself. That’s the only trust I know for sure. ⸻ [VERSE 2 — FIRE / RAP-SUNG] Maybe I stayed in environments where nobody wanted to grow. Everybody had an opinion, but nobody had shit to show. Everybody watching my moves, counting what I got. Funny how they know my inventory but never checked their own stock. You worried about my blessings? Go look at your own life. You studying my success while neglecting your own grind. You call me arrogant because I finally found my worth. You weren’t mad when I was struggling— you got uncomfortable when I started to work. That’s the part that hit different. Now I’m looking at the room like, “Who the fuck is really here?” Because some people only love you when your future doesn’t interfere. They’ll clap when you’re losing, then get quiet when you win. They don’t want to see you fail— they want to see you never begin. ⸻ [VERSE 3 — DIFFERENT SCENARIOS] At the dinner table— everybody laughing. But somebody’s counting every dollar that you’re stacking. At the family function— everybody saying, “Love.” But somebody leaves the room and starts tearing your name up. In the relationship— they say, “Baby, I’m proud.” Then they minimize your dreams when you’re not around. At the workplace— they tell you, “You’re the best.” Then they hope your opportunity gets handed to somebody else. And the wildest part? You keep forgiving people because you remember who they used to be. But they keep introducing you to somebody you never knew. ⸻ [PRE-CHORUS — BUILDING] So I’m done trying to decode what people refuse to explain. Done taking everybody’s baggage and calling it my pain. You don’t have to hate me. You don’t have to understand. But if you can’t respect my peace— You can’t have access to the man. ⸻ [CHORUS — BIGGER] I don’t even know who the fuck to trust no more. ⸻ [BRIDGE — PIANO / VOCAL CRACKS] Maybe I don’t need a thousand people. Maybe I need three. Maybe I don’t need everybody saying they love me. Maybe I need somebody who can prove it when it’s inconvenient. Maybe isolation ain’t punishment. Maybe it’s protection. Maybe losing certain people wasn’t my biggest loss. Maybe it was my biggest lesson. Because sometimes… God has to remove the crowd so you can finally hear yourself. ⸻ [FINAL VERSE — SPITTING FIRE] So don’t mistake my silence for somebody you can play with. I don’t need revenge— I need distance. I don’t need to scare you. I need to stop letting you near me. I’m not knocking nobody down. I’m knocking doors down— doors I should’ve closed years ago. I’m not becoming cold. I’m becoming selective. Not everybody deserves a front-row seat to my life. Access is earned. Trust is built. Respect is mutual. And peace is non-negotiable. You wanna know who I am? I’m the motherfucker who finally learned to walk away. I’m the one who stopped begging people to treat me right. I’m the one who realized that being alone ain’t the same as being lonely. Sometimes the strongest room is the one you enter by yourself. ⸻ I don’t even know who the fuck to trust no more… Polo energy
