FALLING APART [Intro] Yeah... Everybody sees the name. Nobody sees the nights behind it. Sometimes I wonder... If I stopped pretending I was okay, Would anybody notice? [Hook] I'm falling apart, but I'm holding it together, Smiling for the world while I'm fighting through the weather, Everybody thinks I'm stronger 'cause I never show the pressure, But the truth is I've been barely keeping pieces of me together. I'm falling apart, can you hear me when I call? I've been building up these walls just to keep myself from falling, I keep telling everybody I'm alright, but that's a lie, 'Cause I'm tired of saying "I'm okay" when I'm dying inside. [Verse 1] I got a thousand thoughts fighting for attention, Every single one of them demanding my reflection, I can hear my own mistakes echoing through every sentence, Like the past keeps resurrecting every time I try to forget it. I learned how to hide pain behind a punchline, Learned how to say "I'm good" with a dead-eyed smile, Learned how to walk away before somebody sees me cry, Then wonder why I feel alone when everybody says goodbye. I got people that I love that I don't know how to reach, Got things I wanna say but they get caught in my teeth, Got apologies I owe and some apologies I need, Got a heart full of love that I don't know how to keep. And I hate that. I can write about my pain better than I can explain it, Put my soul inside a song but still struggle when I face it, Everybody hears the record and thinks I finally escaped it, But sometimes making art about the wound doesn't mean that you erased it. [Pre-Hook] So if you hear this... Don't tell me I'm strong. Just tell me you hear me. That's all I want. [Verse 2] I think about the people that I lost and what they meant, Every empty chair reminding me that nothing's permanent, Every photograph can turn into a knife if you're not ready, Every memory can feel like a place you can't get back to. I've made mistakes I wish I could rewrite, Said some things I wish I could unsay, Loved some people in the wrong way, Lost some people on the wrong days. And sometimes I blame myself for everything that went wrong, Like I could've saved everybody if I'd only been strong, But I'm learning that a human can't control every outcome, And carrying every death doesn't bring anybody home. So I'm putting down the weight. Not forgetting. Not pretending. Just admitting that I'm hurting And that maybe that's okay. [Bridge] If I break... Let me break. If I cry... Let me cry. I don't need to be a fucking superhero Every night of my life. I'm still here. I'm still trying. And maybe that's enough. [Beat Switch] 808s slowly enter. Yeah... I ain't fixed. But I'm fighting. [Verse 3] I got a daughter looking at me like I'm Superman, So I gotta teach her that being strong ain't never needing help, It's knowing when you're drowning and still reaching for a hand, It's admitting that you're hurting and refusing to pretend. I wanna give her everything that I never had, Wanna turn all of my worst memories into better paths, So when she sees me struggle, I hope she understands That strength ain't being perfect... It's getting back up when you crash. That's what I'm doing. Every morning that I wake up is another opportunity, Another chance to turn the pain into something that can move with me, I might never lose the scars, but they don't get to choose for me, I'm not everything that happened... I'm everything I'm choosing to become. [Final Hook] I'm falling apart, but I'm learning how to mend it, Still carrying the scars, but I'm changing how I wear them, I don't need to hide the pain to prove that I'm resilient, Sometimes saying "I need help" is the strongest thing you can give them. I'm falling apart, but I'm still standing tall, Maybe I don't need these walls around me after all, I keep telling everybody I'm alright, but tonight... I'm finally telling the truth. I'm not okay. But I'm here. [Outro] And for right now... That's enough.
