Summer arrived sooner than later, and I welcomed it without a thought. Days dissolved like ice in hot water, and the clock forgot the time it bought. But in all that sun and all that quiet, you slipped in with a smile. I don't know how you reached this shore of mine, but air tastes differently today. Skies turned red as twilight arrived, and I found myself indulging and asking... "why not?" I caught your gaze and it was like finding a treasure I never knew existed. The tide pulled me in without asking, and I had no desire to resist. It wasn't planned, it wasn't what I sought, it's just summer doing what it always does. I don't know how you reached this shore of mine, but air tastes differently today. The night I stayed longer than the usual time, and I let myself stay... afterall, "why not?" I won't give it a name just yet, beautiful things need no label, yes? I only know ours is a door ajar, We look at the sun so far, And "hurry" is not a name 'gain. Summer shines on our smiles, our smiles, And so will I, so will I, No rush. I know nothing. But I want it all. Do you?
