[Verse 1] Bamboo leaves swaying A small, whispered wish Fingertips meeting A vow that we bind Unable to slumber I gaze at the sky Holding the same light Deep in my heart [Pre-Chorus] Step by step we draw closer The threads of our fate Holding them tightly So they won't come undone Just for this evening Cast all your doubts aside I’ll keep on calling The sound of your name [Chorus] Dawn of Tanabata The moment we meet Dawn of Tanabata Our hearts unfold Crossing the Milky Way A promise for eternity (A promise for eternity) Don’t let go of my hand Let’s walk until the morning light [Verse 2] A single blue teardrop Brushes past my cheek The future unseen Trembles ever so slightly We’ve crossed through the seasons So distant and wide To reach this moment Here by your side [Pre-Chorus] Step by step we draw closer The threads of our fate Holding them tightly So they won't come undone Just for this evening Don't turn away Holding the same wish Over and over again [Chorus] Dawn of Tanabata The moment we meet Dawn of Tanabata Our hearts unfold Crossing the Milky Way A promise for eternity (A promise for eternity) Don’t let go of my hand Let’s walk until the morning light [Bridge] Even if shadows Erase every path The warmth of your spirit Will guide me like a lamp I’ll wait for a thousand years If that’s what it takes This miracle we’ve found I will never let it end [Final Chorus] Dawn of Tanabata The moment we meet Dawn of Tanabata The light fills the air Crossing the Milky Way A promise for eternity (A promise for eternity) Don’t let go of my hand Let’s live on, forevermore
