[Intro instrumental] [Verse] Another plain old day Nothing takes the boredom away That's what she said As she sighed in her bed If only she knew Coming toward her a change of view [Chorus] The hail pounds the roof As she grabs a rotten tooth The dog is whining The baby falls off the chair reclining What can I do she says out loud An ordinary day sounds good now [Verse 2] That was a bad day she said As she yawns in bed Nothing special happens here I'll fall back asleep it's clear Wishful thinking for the cursed She better prepare for the worst [Chorus] The phone rings it's bad news Reporters are outside with their crews Accused of a crime she didn't commit She jumps up and has a fit She's soon cleared but what a fright She thought she'd have to fight What can I do she says out loud An ordinary day sounds good right now [Instrumental interlude] [Verse 3] I've learned my lesson she screamed Ordinary isn't as bad as it seemed Please give me peace and quiet Before I lose my mind and start a riot No drama is good drama Save all that jazz for your Mama [Outro] Tomorrow will be just an ordinary day And I love it that way [End]
