[verse] there's something that the germans say when they're being lead the wrong way it goes 'The fish stinks from the head' so if ever you hear this said then take a good look around to the people in the crowd if you're the one in charge then it wouldn't do you any harm to take a look if they mean you and is there something you could do to make their world a better place and to see if you're making mistakes [chorus] when fish are dead they'll rot from the head when fish are dead they'll rot from the head [verse] the smell of dead and rotting fish is one you can't dismiss it lingers like an everlasting fog and you feel like you can't go on so don't be dumb or ignore the smell is feeling more and more like the end is coming, and it will be hard so stop being blind and don't discard the stench of failure thats all around or the voices of the angry crowd who just want all this pain to stop before their souls die and start to rot [chorus] when fish are dead they'll rot from the head when fish are dead they'll rot from the head [bridge] if the fishes head looks a lot like you then try hard to stop being a fool listen hard to what the others say and stop being dumb and tryin' to play like your the wisest person in the room cos' your leading us to our doom [chorus] when fish are dead they'll rot from the head when fish are dead they'll rot from the head when fish are dead they'll rot from the head when fish are dead they'll rot from the head
