The Faerie Tree of Loch Maree - ft. Sara

[Verse 1] On the isle of Loch Maree, Where stands the Faerie Tree, And druids drank milk with bitter fuzzyness To keep their night from weariness. [Verse 2] Today I still serve the Elfan Queen Weary hours, little sleep, with fading powers. I moan not for my bread or fee, But for my bairn, far from me. [Chorus] Let a new day begin at Loch Maree Waking up to birds that sing The onerous road is calling, But before the daylight fails me Oh Let me and the heavens meet [Verse 3] Remembering the warning of the queen “Stay till he stands at your knee, Then homeward you may flee. Through heaven’s gate or hell’s bright flame, [Pre-Chorus] You’ll find your child, You’ll hear his name.” Thus the path the righteous tread The road to Heaven shall be free [Chorus] Let a new day begin at Loch Maree Waking up to birds that sing The onerous road is calling, But before the daylight fails me Oh Let me and the heavens meet [Bridge – spoken] Reaching dawn A laily worm sleeps by the tree, A mackerel sings from the sea, Selkies drift where the tide runs free, Baby Lee growin' up with thee As the sun goes up on the horizon All my worries dissapear [Final Refrain] Let a new day begin at Loch Maree Waking up to birds that sing The onerous road is calling, But before the daylight fails me Oh Let me and the heavens meet [Outro - slowly fading out] Oohh - where heavens meet
