Temperature dropping, skin turning grey, nights stretch longer than decay. No breath in my chest, no spark in my head, but your name keeps waking the dead. Rotting thoughts in a hollow skull, every memory looping, dull. No heartbeat left inside my chest, yet you’re the thing that won’t let me rest. I’m sorry… I’m sorry if I call again, fingers stiff but I still press send. No blood runs through these veins tonight, but I’m still reaching toward your light. I’m braindead... but you’re in my mind. No life left... but you’re still the sign. I crawl through the dark just to find your voice in the static line. I’m helpless, I’m flesh and bone, wandering streets alone. If I’m already gone inside, why do I still need you to survive? (No pulse… no breath…) Still calling you. (No mind… no rest…) Still wanting you. Expiring will, deteriorating frame, every echo repeats your name. This brain is ash, this heart is dust, yet craving you is my only trust. I’ve wandered years in vacant skin, countless hours decaying within. Stumbling blind through neon light, hoping I’ll see you one more night. They say the dead feel nothing. They say we cannot choose. But even corpses remember the last thing they refused. If this is damnation, if this is the cost... why does your absence hurt the most? I’m braindead... still I crave your sound. No soul left... but I’m still bound. If salvation’s a beating heart, why did mine tear apart? I’ve spent forever in decay, praying you won’t turn away. If I’m already lost and through, let me stay undead with you. No pulse… no breath… still yours… in death. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ A tragic undead confession told through layered duet vocals and swelling ambient textures. The piece transforms obsessive longing into literal undeath... a body without pulse, still craving connection. Dark alt-pop meets cinematic electronica as desperation grows from whispered apology into choral crescendo, exploring dependency, decay, and devotion that refuses to die.
