Just Romeo and Juliet

The balcony is cold tonight. The neighbors left the porch light on. I’m waiting for a green light now. Before the morning comes along. Your father holds the heavy keys. My family name is like a wall. But I would jump the garden fence. Just to catch you if you fall. * We’re not a tragedy. Just Romeo and Juliet. Finding our own way. Writing scenes we won't regret. We’re not a tragedy. Just Romeo and Juliet. Walking out the door. Leaving all the history. * I packed a bag and left a note. Beside your coffee on the tray. We’ll take the highway to the coast. And find a place where we can stay. Forget the roses and the thorns. Forget the poison on the shelf. I’d rather have you here alive. Than be a story by myself. * Let them say it’s written in the stars. We’re rewriting every single line. Turning every bruise and every scar. Into something that is yours and mine. * We’re not a tragedy. Just Romeo and Juliet. Finding our own way. Writing scenes we won't regret. We’re not a tragedy. Just Romeo and Juliet. Walking out the door. Leaving all the history....... ♥️
