Whiskers’ Love Hustle
[Man] (Spoken, tired) Another peaceful evening, or so I thought. Until Whiskers saw her... [Whiskers] (Interrupts, practically yelling) Bro, look! She’s stunning! Like Cleopatra in fur! [Man] (Spoken, bewildered) That’s right. A cat. In the apartment across the way. And suddenly, Whiskers—my usually smug, composed roommate—turned into a hormonal mess. [Whiskers] (Rapping, lovestruck) Yo, who’s that cutie with the perfect paws? Got me trippin’, breaking all my laws! Eyes so bright, she lights my night, I’m weak, man, my heart takes flight! [Man] (Sung, exasperated) Whiskers, calm down, get ahold of yourself, It’s not love, buddy—it’s bad for your health! Remember the vet, the day you were clipped? You’re dreaming of love, but your wires got snipped! [Man] (Spoken, frustrated) I tried to reason with him, but Whiskers wasn’t having it. He was already halfway through planning a grand romantic gesture. [Whiskers] (Rapping, determined) You did me dirty, bro, that vet was cruel, Now I’m standing here, just a neutered fool! But love’s not dead, nah, it’s more than fur, It’s connection, soul-deep, and I’m feeling sure! [Man] (Spoken, sighing) Then it got worse. He started rapping about fighting off imaginary competition. Apparently, Whiskers thinks every male cat within a ten-mile radius is a rival. [Whiskers] (Rapping, hyped) I’ll take on Tom, Felix, Garfield too, Ain’t no other cat gonna block my view! I’m the king, the champ, no contest here, Her heart’s my kingdom; it’s crystal clear! [Man] (Sung, pleading) Whiskers, stop it, she doesn’t even know you! This is crazy, buddy, and you’re fixed too! Hormones gone, it’s all in your head— Come back to reality; go to bed! [Man] (Spoken, exasperated) He didn’t listen. No, Whiskers started plotting. Scaling walls, jumping balconies—it was madness! [Whiskers] (Rapping, confidently) I’ll climb, I’ll leap, I’ll serenade strong, Play her my mixtape, how could this go wrong? She’ll see my swag and hear my bars, We’ll be the first cats to dance under stars! [Man] (Spoken, dry) In the end, I had to close the curtains before he hurt himself. He spent the rest of the night staring longingly at the wall, mumbling about destiny. And me? I poured a glass of wine and thanked the vet. [Whiskers] (Rapping softly, reflective) Fine, you win, but love doesn’t quit, One day she’ll see I’m the ultimate hit. Till then, I’ll dream, though snipped I may be, A romantic at heart, forever… me.
