The Forest Wave

I was riding the wave Inside the sound I was riding the wave Inside the sound How often to the woods to slow my feet Found colors growing from the ground A quiet laugh in every tree Then the floor began to move around One day the map dissolved Roots turned into lines of light The forest leaned toward the ocean Every thought began to slide Can you hear it build? It's calling now I was riding the wave On the crest of the sun Cutting through the moment Feet not touching ground I was riding the wave Through a line in the air Pulled into the center Made a tune in there Funny thing about waves They don't care if you swim or listen They move you anyway I was riding the wave Till the noise turned clear Every note a shoreline Every echo near The forest hummed The ocean replied All waves are sound Just learning how to ride
