[female rocker airy, hook] Father in heaven I pray for your help Would you meet me here Right now In the chaos In the quiet When the gloves come off In the fire Father in heaven [rap, male] It’s been a long day The giant is not defeated yet I’m still fighting as I pray Could you please help me Be my defense and my offense Go behind and before me All around me [female rocker airy] Father in heaven [rap, male] Forgive me for only praying for myself I’ve been bogged down That I haven’t shifted my perspective To your kingdom above all else Hallowed be your name You are great and there is nothing else that can defame What you have done What you are doing And what you will do You will always come through Thank you that you are always the same Yesterday today and forever Your love never changes so teach us to rearrange The thoughts in our heart while the battle rages One hand on our sword Your truth While we rebuild the wall [singing harmony] Protection for what surrounds our lives We fight with your help You protect us with wisdom and strength Guidance and Devine intervention Your grace is the thing that we want mentioned It gives us confidence to approach your throne [female rocker airy] Father in heaven [rap, male] You are strong and you love us Those two working in tandem, bringing us hope that we can trust You to save us Jesus You went through every temptation that we could go through yet never sinned And then took our sins and paid for them With your life The weight of what should be on us is no longer Because of your sacrifice [female rocker airy] We worship you in spirit and in truth Father in heaven [rap male] We seek you, and you seek us Let our hearts rest tonight In your truth By your spirit, give us strength Give us comfort Give us help Thank you for eternal life May we serve you for the rest of our lives [female rocker airy] Knowing that we can never repay for what you have done for us But change our hearts to desire your will May we want what you want till We become the change in the world And see your will be done [rap male] On earth as it is in heaven Give us our daily bread What we need, and not much more than We can gather in a day Examples of others you have led along the way To give us encouragement Like the Israelites, we seek you for our daily Mana in the wilderness Forgive us our sins as we forgive others their sins against us And lead us not onto temptation But deliver us Deliver us from evil From the opposite of love [female rocker airy] Father in heaven [rap, male] You are more than enough [female rocker airy] So when I think of the giant that brought me here I’ll remember that you lead me besides the opposite of fear Quiet waters [rap male] And there besides the river bank, I’ll find your word in the shape of stones That I can place in my sling to launch At the trial in front of me Maybe I just need to remember what side of the army I’m on, and remember that the battle belongs To someone I get to call My Father I’ll praise you while I wait Praise you each and every day Thank you for your grace [female rocker airy, hook] Father in heaven I pray for your help Would you meet me here Right now In the chaos In the quiet When the gloves come off In the fire Father in Heaven Father in Heaven I pray for your help Would you meet me here Right now In the chaos In the quiet When the gloves come off In the fire Father in Heaven
