I’m either dancing in the kitchen, Or staring at the ceiling, wishing I could keep the good days close, ’Cause they disappear the most. I’m either laughing way too loud, Or disappearing in a crowd. I don’t know how to just feel okay, It’s always night or always day. I’m either up, I’m either down, Either lost or wearing a crown. I wish my heart knew how to breathe Without becoming everything. When I’m happy, I feel the sun, Like nothing bad could ever come. I love too hard, I dream too much, I hold onto every little touch. But when I’m sad, the colors fade, Every little fear gets amplified. I turn a whisper to a scream, And drown inside my own extremes. I’m either up, I’m either down, There’s no middle ground I’ve found. Maybe someday I’ll learn to see That gray can be beautiful too, maybe. For now I’m learning, day by day, My feelings don’t define my way. I can be both the storm and breeze, Even if I never live in-between.
