[Verse] They mocked and jeered said come on down If you're the King where’s your crown They laughed and scorned while the sky turned gray But He stayed silent as they walked away [Verse 2] They thought it was done the story’s end Nailed to a tree left to descend The earth it trembled the veil was torn Still they believed He was broken and worn [Chorus] But He rose like He said He would Defied the grave and the heavy wood They thought it was over thought hope was dead But He rose like He said like He said [Verse 3] Three days passed the stone was rolled The tomb now empty the prophecy bold The world was shaken their doubts undone For the Savior lives the Risen One [Bridge] Oh shame was shattered when love prevailed The King of Glory His plan unveiled They saw defeat but He saw through A promise kept a life renewed [Chorus] He rose like He said He would Defied the grave and the heavy wood They thought it was over thought hope was dead But He rose like He said like He said
