Night I Saved A Leprechaun
[Fiddle Intro] [Verse 1] On a cold January night Snow was comin' down On me way home from Paddy's Pub The best brew in town [Verse 2] Suddenly from the rubbish, heard a cry for help so finished me last cup peer inside to see an injured leprechaun And I offer to help him up [Chorus] Leprechaun thanked me many times For caring and makin' him healthy Said "such a kind lad as you ought to be wealthy" then he handed me a pot of gold I in disbelief said "oh bless me beard!" then he jumped up in mid air and completely disappeared! [Solo] [Bridge] Rushed home so excited Told the story to a cheer! Only to take out the pub chamber pot And realize it was just somethin' in me beer! [Chorus] Leprechaun thanked me many times For caring and makin' him healthy Said "such a kind lad as you ought to be wealthy" then he handed me a pot of gold I in disbelief said "oh bless me beard!" then he jumped up in mid air and completely disappeared! [Outro] Could've sworn I'd saved a leprechaun Sadly it was just a delusion Now I'm the laugh at the pub for all me confusion They snicker and jeer, year to year Was the the pub chamber pot, not gold realized it was just somethin' in me beer! was just somethin' in me beer! (somethin' in me beer)
