(Verse 1) Fifty days had passed since the flood began, Rain ceased its weeping, as God's plan. He opened windows of heaven's height, Sent a wind to pass over earth's plight. The waters subsided, receding slowly, Mountains appeared where none were before. Ararat's peak emerged from the sea, Ark rested there, as far as the eye could see. (Chorus) God remembered Noah in his refuge, Spared him and all that was left of the creatures. Rainbows in skies, a promise made, Never again by flood to be afraid. (Verse 2) Noah sent out a raven, swift and black, Seeking land where it could not turn back. It flew to and fro until the waters dried, Returned no more, by the flood's tide. A dove he sent next, smaller and grey, To find a place where they could stay. Seven days passed before it returned, With an olive branch in its beak, a sign was discerned. (Outro) The earth was quiet, life began anew, Covenant sealed with a rainbow's hue. As long as the earth remains, seed and soil, Day and night in their course will toil.
