AWAKEN You there. Yeah, you. Head down. Thumb up. Screen lit. Soul dimmed. You ever feel it? That quiet ache behind the noise? That whisper in your chest when the world says “this is normal” but something in you knows this is not it. This is not living. This is looping. Wake up. Wake up to the drive-through lines, the boxed-in lives, the powdered drinks, the sugar highs, the dead-eyed mornings, the processed dreams sold back to us with a smile and a points card. Wake up to the plazas, the concrete kingdoms, the fluorescent temples where we trade time for crumbs and call it convenience. Ten minutes in a line for hot bean water because the machine taught us to worship routine and call it reward. Look around. Look hard. Kids pouring from schools trained to memorize a past they didn’t choose while holding devices more powerful than the systems trying to shape them. Parents stressed. Bodies tired. Minds fogged. Wallets drained. Everyone sprinting in circles through parking lots, through debt, through noise, through lives designed by someone else’s profit model. And they told you this was success. A bigger screen. A faster car. A cleaner pair of shoes. A sharper haircut. A little more status. A little more distraction. A little less silence so you never hear the question underneath it all: Who are you beneath the programming? Because this system? It feeds on sleepwalkers. It loves the numb. It rewards the distracted. It profits from the tired, the lonely, the overstimulated, the overfed and undernourished. It says, Consume. Compare. Obey. Repeat. But I’m here to tell you there is more in you than reaction. More in you than appetite. More in you than scrolling past your own potential like it’s just another clip. You were not born to be a customer first and a soul second. You were not born to spend your best years renting your attention to systems that do not love you back. You were born with hands that can build, a mind that can question, a voice that can shake walls, a heart that still knows what is real. Real is soil. Real is sunlight. Real is sweat with purpose. Real is growing food, building homes, creating energy, making art, protecting children, healing neighborhoods, turning empty spaces into living places. Real is community. Real is courage. Real is saying “No. I will not inherit this world asleep.” Teens— listen to me. They will try to hand you a script. Study this. Buy that. Want this. Fear them. Follow trends. Pick a side. Stay distracted. Stay entertained. Stay manageable. Break the script. Ask better questions. Who benefits from your confusion? Who profits from your weakness? Who taught you that numbness is normal? Who told you your power was somewhere outside of you? It isn’t. Your power is in your attention. Your power is in your body. Your power is in your will. Your power is in your ability to see through the illusion and still choose to build. This is your moment. Not to complain louder. Not to perform outrage. Not to post another filtered rebellion that disappears by morning. No. This is the moment to become dangerous in the best way. Dangerous to apathy. Dangerous to addiction. Dangerous to dead systems. Dangerous to lies dressed up as lifestyle. Become the one who grows instead of just buys. Who creates instead of just consumes. Who learns instead of just repeats. Who leads instead of just follows. Who wakes others not by preaching but by living so clearly they remember they are asleep. Because the revolution is not only in the streets. It is in the kitchen. In the classroom. In the gym. In the garden. In the choices nobody claps for. In the discipline nobody sees. In the decision to reclaim your mind from the machine. So when they ask you what you’re doing, tell them this: I am unplugging from the dead world. I am building a living one. I am done confusing comfort with freedom. I am done confusing stimulation with meaning. I am done renting out my soul for convenience. I will eat real food. I will think real thoughts. I will build real strength. I will form real bonds. I will speak real truth. I will become real in a world that rewards the fake. And if enough of us do that— not someday, not when it’s easy, not when permission comes— but now, here, while the line still wraps around the block, while the screens still glow, while the old world still begs for one more obedient customer— then maybe, just maybe, we do more than wake up. Maybe we remember. Maybe we remember that life was never meant to be bought back one cup, one click, one craving, one distraction at a time. Maybe we remember we are not here to keep the machine alive. We are here to build something worthy of the human spirit. So rise. Not later. Now. Look around. See clearly. Stand up straight. Call the lie a lie. Call the waste what it is. Call the sleeping world to its feet. And when they tell you “that’s just the way it is,” say: No. That is the way it was. We’re awake now.
