You smile at me and something tightens under my ribs. I act like it’s nothing, but I’m terrible at pretending I don’t care. You play me all your goth tracks, your boots keeping time on the floor. We read each other like character sheets, but neither rolls the courage check. kiss me kiss me kiss me, fooool I’m not immortal I just dress like it kiss me kiss me kiss me, fooool Your warrior shields my mage in every tabletop night we survive. You hand me all your healing potions like you fear I’ll break for real. You know every twist in my favorite horror films, but not the twist you’re standing inside tonight. We read each other like character sheets, but both ignore the obvious stats. It’s getting late and my pulse is louder than the drums. kiss me kiss me kiss me, fooool you’re losing the roll just take your turn kiss me kiss me kiss me, fooool If we don’t move now, this moment levels up without us. I’m done rolling for courage. your turn your turn your turn. kiss me kiss me kiss me, fooool hold still don’t breathe kiss me kiss me kiss me, fooool kiss me..... kiss me.... fooool....
