[Verse] אדון עולם אשרי מלך [God of the universe Blessed King] ריבון כל העולמים [L-rd of all worlds] נורא מהולל בחיל ורם [Awesome Exalted Mighty Revered] מסבות שמים יעשה [He makes all secrets known] ה' צבאות שומרי [L-rd G-d Protector] ויעמד לי מנגדי [He stands before me in my defense] [Verse 2] יוצר הרים ובורא רוח [Creator of hills Creator of soul] מוליך חכמים ערומים [He guides those wise and foolish] תולה ארץ על בלימה [Keeping all in their balance] עתיד לדון הרבים [He judges all men likewise] וזוקף כפופים [And raises up those who bow down] הן הוא גאלני [He saves my spirit] [Chorus] ויודע יצרי [He understands me] ויעמיד לי מנגדי [He stands before me in my defense] ויפדני [Royal He] יאור פניו אלי [He turns his face toward me] ועיני תראינה [And I am witness to these things] ואביוני ישביע לחם [And He feeds the hungry man] והוא גאלני [He saves me] ומי ישקני [And washes me] על כן אודה [And so I give thanks] והגבור כל צמא [He satisfies thirst no longer] לכן אזריח [So I lift my voice Giving thanks and praise] ותענויהו שרים [To those stooped in metal carvings I raise my song] שאין ראוי לשבח [I cannot be worthy of Him] ושפל עפר ירוממנו [And from humble dust He raises us] ויפדני [Royal He] ועל כן אקרא נורא גבור [So I give thanks to the One holy and true] ועיני תראינה [Who sits before me ready to renew] ויבעכנו יד כול [To those whose hearts are full of av'rice] ישראל הכל אמיתר שבחו [So God shall hold back from you] על כן אודה [And thus I am
