WH 40k. Ksun Bakir. Tomorrow I will wake up.

V5.5

[Intro - almost a whisper, distant metallic hum] Quiet… Do not wake me. One more night. One more dream. I dream again of a world that no longer exists. I dream of the wind. I dream of the sun. I dream of my name… before it became a command. [Verse I] Beneath miles of lifeless stone I sleep among thousands of forgotten names. The tomb is silent, yet inside my strange dream there still lives a city that is gone. I hear footsteps along a familiar road, children laughing by the ancient gates. Someone softly calls me by my name… — Ksun… come back home. I want to answer. But I have no lips anymore. I want to reach out my hands to them. But instead of warmth, beneath the earth there awakens cold metal. [Pre-chorus] Don’t go. Wait a little longer. I remember you. I… remember. [Chorus – still reserved] DO NOT WAKE ME WHILE THIS DREAM STILL LIVES. While my fallen world has not yet become a silent throne. While I can still hear voices beyond the wall. While they are whispering: — Ksun… stay with me. But somewhere in the darkness a light ignites. And the ancient machine replies: “THE TIME HAS COME.” [Verse II] I see the palace before the final war, golden lights above the river at night. I see the friends that I had forgotten, and those who once laughed beside me. There is music in the square. The flowers have a scent. Someone is holding my hand. And I am not a queen. Not a weapon. Not eternity. I am simply… alive. But the sky above the city slowly fades. Their faces turn to grey ash. I run toward them. I scream: — Wait! But a voice from the depths replies: “DREAM SEQUENCE COMPLETE.” [Chorus - louder] DO NOT WAKE ME! I AM NOT READY YET! Up there, nothing remains of my world — not a home, not even a word. Down here, in the depths, my sunrise still lives. Here they are beside me. Here there is no death. But the walls of the tomb begin to tremble. And thousands of voices begin to count: One. Two. Three. AWAKEN. [Bridge - music almost disappears] No. Cancel the command. … CANCEL AWAKENING. Systems unresponsive. I am your sovereign. I said: DO NOT WAKE ME! Restoration protocol activated. No… One more minute. One more look. One more voice. Mother? Father? Are you still here? … Why are you silent? [Whispers of a lost world] — Ksun… — Wake up… — Ksun… — It is time for us to go… — Ksun… — Do not forget us. [Sharp strike of the orchestra] NO! [Verse III - heavy metal comes in full] My sarcophagus opens with a thunder of steel, green fire tears through the dark. Millions of years collapse into a single moment, and the world beyond these gates is no longer mine. I rise. Silence. Only ashes. Only ruins. Only the cold of a dead star. My fingers can no longer feel the wind. My eyes will never see the world again the way they saw it then. And yet… Somewhere deep inside I hear one final voice: — Live. [Pre-final chorus] I am no longer sleeping. I am no longer who I was. My heart is gone. But memory lives. If the past is gone— I will build it a mausoleum made of worlds. If the voices are dead— I will make the galaxy remember their names. [Final chorus - huge choir] AWAKEN! MY LEGIONS! LET THE ANCIENT WALLS CRACK OPEN! AWAKEN! MY MILLIONS! THE TIME HAS COME TO RISE FROM DEATH! Eyes ignite in the endless night! One after another thousands awaken! A hundred thousand! A million! TEN MILLION! Metal rises from eternal graves! The entire planet trembles! And for the first time in millions of years, above the dead world, my voice is heard: I AM KSUN BAKIR! I HAVE AWAKENED! [Necron Chorus] KSUN BA-KIR! KSUN BA-KIR! KSUN BA-KIR! [Final - music turns into an apocalyptic march] Open the tomb gates. Activate the monoliths. Raise the fleets. Awaken those who slept beside me through this endless night. Today the dream has ended. Today memory begins. Today the galaxy will learn that the dead… know how to return. [Outro - quietly, against the backdrop of millions of footsteps] And yet… when no one can hear me, sometimes I close my eyes and see that city again. The sun. The river. The flowers. And a voice: — Ksun… come back home. … I came back. But home is gone.
