Gel-Bathing 2 B xxx Alternate Reality

[Verse 1] Cold gel Midnights in the lab Skin hums I forget what I had Reading codes in the folds of my hands You say it’s scripture I say it’s a scan We sink slow Breathing in the blue Shared dreams But I swear I saw you Before the wires Before the white coats Your face in the margins Of an old prayer note [Chorus] We’re gel-bathing the future (oh) Floating in a borrowed sky Group hallucinations All our timelines intertwined Beyond human senses Past the rules that kept us blind We’re gel-bathing the future ’Til the old world flatlines [Verse 2] Salt taste Copper on my tongue Voices overlap Speak as one You quote a verse you never learned I see the letters Glow and turn You laugh Say “this is just a test” I feel my grandfather in my chest His war Your phone My daily feed Braided together Like a living creed [Chorus] We’re gel-bathing the future (hey) Floating in a borrowed sky Group hallucinations All our timelines intertwined Beyond human senses Past the rules that kept us blind We’re gel-bathing the future ’Til the old world flatlines [Bridge] I touch your wrist The colors bend Past and present Blend again Is this grace Or just design? If it heals us Does it matter why? [Chorus] We’re gel-bathing the future (oh yeah) Floating in a borrowed sky Group hallucinations All our timelines intertwined Beyond human senses Past the rules that kept us blind We’re gel-bathing the future And I feel Almost Divine
