Where have you come from, wanderer at sea? The wind has known your footsteps long before they came to me. Before these waves had names, before the stars were drawn, I've watched a thousand voyages sail quietly beyond. Don't turn your eyes behind; the tide has kept its song. What leaves upon the water was never truly gone. Come... Don't be afraid. No debt is left to pay. Lay down your weary heart; the night will find its day. Beyond the restless water, beyond the fading blue, there waits another harbor... and someone waits for you. I've seen the lanterns fade before the morning light. I've heard a thousand promises outlive the longest night. Some carried rings of gold. Some carried whispered prayers. You carried only folded words... yet love was hidden there. I never count the miles, nor every soul I've known. The sea remembers every step, for I once walked alone. Some arrive in silence. Some arrive in tears. I arrived the same, unnoticed, before I counted years. Come... Don't be afraid. The wind has brought you here. The waves have borne your sorrow through every passing year. Beyond the quiet water, beyond the evening blue, there lies another shoreline... where someone waits for you. The tide remembers... And still... another voyage begins.
