[ARCHIVAL MALE SPEECH SAMPLE — AUTHORITARIAN RADIO, NOT SINGER] “Taggart does not recognize the authority of this council, nor the voting power of a corp 1/100th of our size having the same power to limit our sovereignty. It is clear that the anti TTI effort has been led by Jade Constantine, who has been bought off by Evolution. We will start with a 100 million bounty on Jade Constantine with 100 million in bounties, paid for 5 mil ISK each for 20 corpses. TTI and SI and our friends will remain in Venal and we will openly attack all of the pro-Evolution people that have just voted against their one-time friends in TTI. If you wish to open relations, contact Jimmychopps now. Otherwise, you will be targeted. This is fair warning. Thank you.” [SAMPLE ENDS] [FEMALE LEAD VOCAL FROM HERE TO END] [BAND IMPACT] [VERSE 1 — FEMALE] So there it is — the language of the traitor, all courtesy and blood-money and threat. A council means democracy until the votes are not convenient yet. One corp, one voice — too much for Taggart’s stomach. A smaller ally speaking? Unforgivable sin. They loved the law while it served their profit. The moment it didn’t — they reached for the gun. [PRE-CHORUS — FEMALE] Do you hear it? Not sovereignty. Not honour. Not wounded pride. Just avarice panicking because somebody finally said: No. [CHORUS — FEMALE + ROUGH CROWD BACKING] Death to Taggart. Death to their lies. Death to the night they tore the mask from their own eyes. For Venal, for freedom, for the truth they could not stand— death to Ragnar’s treachery, and the blood-price on his hand. [VERSE 2 — FEMALE] Alliance partners? Only while useful. Common defence? A slogan for the poor. “Bring your own minerals,” they told the bleeding front line, while Taggart counted wealth behind a safer door. Roark boasted stockpiles. Roark boasted hulls. Roark boasted riches enough to drown a war. And all the while the little corps paid twice— in ships, in labour, in dead, in more. [PRE-CHORUS — FEMALE] They called it order. They called it prudence. They called extortion common cause. But everyone in Venal knew the difference between defence and being used. [VERSE 3 — FEMALE] Peace was offered. An end was possible. A way for old allies to step back from the brink. But greed prefers an audience, and bullies love a spectacle, and Ragnar chose the kind of rule that cannot bear to think. So threats replaced persuasion. So bounty replaced law. So “fair warning” became the creed of frightened men with power. And in that hour a government of comrades curdled into coup before the cluster’s eyes. [VERSE 4 — FEMALE, DRIVING] Then the war slipped out of Venal, down the Lonetrek supply-line veins. Reikoku entered the widening conflict, hunting wealth instead of fame. Miners scattered. Freighters vanished. Industry learned it too could bleed. Hit the empire in its stomach— starve the war-machine that feeds. No grand fleet and no bright banner, just the arteries cut clean. Taggart learned that all its riches could not keep the war contained. [VERSE 5 — FEMALE, DARK HALF-TIME] And Ragnar counted battleships sleeping silent in the dark, hulls of wealth he would not hazard while his allies fed the spark. Ships that never came to save them. Ships that watched while Venal bled. Steel can haunt a war before it burns— some fleets are ghosts before they’re dead. He called accumulation power. He called hoarding proof of worth. But a fleet unused for comrades is a graveyard given berth. [BRIDGE — FEMALE, RHYTHMIC] I proposed a fund for our defence. We were losing ships. We were losing time. We were losing people faster than rhetoric could replace them. And Taggart sneered. Bring your own minerals. Bring your own sacrifice. Bring your own dead. Bring your own ruin. But bring your labour to our war. And when the vote came down against them— they called democracy corruption, called equality tyranny, called dissent betrayal, and put a price on my head. One hundred million ISK. [BAND NEARLY DROPS OUT] I take it up. [FEMALE, COLD AND CONTROLLED] I wear it proudly as a shroud to brittle avarice and all the works of foolish craven traitorlords below. [BAND CRASHES BACK] [FINAL CHORUS — FEMALE, BIGGEST, NO TEMPO DROP] Death to Taggart. Death to their lies. Death to the memory of this treacherous night. For every friend they thought would kneel, for every voice they thought they’d buy— death to Ragnar, death to Taggart, death to the old Venal lie. [FINAL REFRAIN — FEMALE + CROWD BACKING, DRIVING] You wanted corpses. You made a history. You wanted silence. You made a song. You wanted fear to settle every argument— but Venal remembers who was wrong. Death to Taggart. Death to Ragnar. Death to the memory of this treacherous night.
