V4.5

I love You, Lord—my strength, my might, My fortress in the darkest night, My shield, my horn, my saving grace, In You I find my resting place. The cords of death had bound me tight, The floods of fear consumed my sight, But in my anguish, loud I cried, And God, my King, drew near my side. The earth then shook, the mountains quaked, The skies in storm and thunder brake— He rode the wind on wings of flame, And darkness fled before His name. He reached from heaven, drew me through, From raging waves and waters blue, He brought me forth to open air, Because His love is always there. The Lord rewards the pure of heart, To those who walk His way, impart The light of dawn, the path made straight, For He defends the meek in wait. With Him, the weak can break a wall, With Him, the small stand ten feet tall, His word is true, His way is sure, His love forever shall endure. So I will praise Him all my days, Lift high His name in endless praise, For who is God, so strong, so near? The Lord alone—my Savior dear!
