Blitzen on the Bass

Christmas 1960s Motown Soul, prominent bass line sleigh bells, male vocals

(Verse 1)
Late night at the North Pole spot,
The sleigh’s all packed, and the cocoa’s hot.
Santa’s checkin’ twice, elves movin’ fast—
But Blitzen's in the back just layin’ down jazz.

He ain’t the loudest, don’t fly in a race,
But when it’s time to groove, he owns the place.
With a four-string funk and a candy cane case,
He lights up the night—Blitzen on the bass!

(Chorus)
🎵 Blitzen on the bass, bringin’ that thump,
Boots hit the snow with a jingle-bell bump.
He don’t need a spotlight or reindeer fame,
‘Cause when he hits the groove, they all know his name! 🎵

(Verse 2)
The sleigh don’t fly ‘til he sets the tone,
With a wah-wah slide and a low-end moan.
The snow starts dancin’, the stars all sway,
Even Santa’s bobbin’ while they fly the sleigh.

The elves all cheer, the beat’s so mean,
He’s got more soul than a jellybean queen.
While Dasher's flash and Rudolph's bright,
Blitzen plays funk deep into the night.

(Bridge – Call and Response)
🎶 Who’s got the funk? (Blitzen’s got the funk!)
🎶 Who brings the groove? (Blitzen makes it move!)
🎶 Who drops the beat with style and grace?
🎶 (It’s that reindeer rockstar… Blitzen on the bass!)

(Verse 3)
Now every year, when the night gets cold,
And you hear that rumble, smooth and bold…
It ain’t thunder, it ain’t no chase—
It’s holiday rhythm from outer space!

So when the sleigh flies by, just nod your head,
Feel that beat in your gingerbread.
You know who’s keepin’ Santa in place—
It’s Blitzen, baby… Blitzen on the bass!

(Final Chorus)
🎵 Blitzen on the bass, bringin’ that thump,
Boots hit the snow with a jingle-bell bump.
He don’t need a spotlight or reindeer fame,
‘Cause when he hits the groove, they all know his name! 🎵

🎵 Blitzen on the bass, steady and cool,
Lay it down low like a funky ol' mule.
From the sleigh to the stage, he’s bringin’ the grace—
All hail the funk king: Blitzen on the bass! 🎵

(Outro – Funky instrumental fade with kids chanting)
🎶 “Go Blitzen! Go Blitzen! Drop that beat, Blitzen!” 🎶
