--- Wrapping up the "Album" with the persona. This one was a lot of fun and calls back to several previous songs. Has just the right blend of quirk and smoothness from the vocals. I feel like the entire "band" is represented and I especially like the breakdown "Stay a little longer" section. Overall I really enjoyed the project and might have to revisit "Jesus and the Dinosaurs" at some point in the future and check in on how they are doing . . . lol. Nice that it maintained the vocals throughout the entire project. Was a great way to test V5.5 and the new "Voices" system, though I'll probably call them Personas for at least a little while. ;-) ~David --- [Musical Introduction] [Callback mashup: faint music box → calculator clicks → phone buzz → bass pop → all snap into a funky groove] [Verse 1 - Male Vocals - Ned – playful, reflective] Credits roll on a chapter we made Every wrong turn, every choice replayed Freeze frame moments we thought defined Now they’re just scenes we left behind From hallway passes to late night calls From bedroom walls to grocery aisles Every version of who we’ve been… Still echoes under everything [Pre-Chorus - Female harmony building] We thought the end would feel like closure But it just feels like something… closer [Chorus - big, celebratory] We’re staying for the post credit scenes Not walking out on what could be Yeah, the story’s shifting out of frame— But we’re not done, we’re just between Staying for the post credit scenes Laughing at the in-betweens No final line, no “fade to black”— Just one more step and no looking back [Verse 2 - Male Vocal Duo] [Male Vocals - Spider - smooth] Bassline walking like a forward plan [Male Vocals - Ned] Not perfect, but it’s where I stand [Male Vocals - Spider] Every “fail” was a setup beat [Male Vocals - Ned] Every miss just led to this repeat [Both] Didn’t stick every landing clean… (. . . so close . . .) Still found ground in the in-between Ghosts on lines, hall passes saved… (. . . oh yeah . . .) Every path that we never paved [Break – Spoken Callback] [Male Vocals - Spoken - Ned - laughing] Aww man… come ON! [band hits a funky punch, crowd cheer sound] [Chorus - Bigger, Funkier] We’re staying for the post credit scenes Every “what if” and “maybe” Turns into something we couldn’t see— Yeah, that’s the point of the mystery Staying for the post credit scenes No perfect cut, no guarantee But if the future’s unscripted free— That’s where I wanna be [Musical Interlude] [FULL BAND SHOWCASE] [Spider: slap bass madness (callback groove to Prom Dance)] [Anaconda: lunchbox + coin jar + tribal stomps layered] [Female Vocals - Sequel: airy vocal echoes (“hello… hello…”) [Ned: bright guitar + classical flourish run] [Bridge - Female Vocals - Sequel – warm, uplifting] Maybe the end was never the end Just a place where we start again Every scene we thought we knew… Leads to something breaking through [Female Vocals - soft build] We don’t need to see the whole design… Just the next frame, one at a time [Breakdown → Build] [music drops to bass + claps] [Male Vocals - Spider - low] Stay a little longer… [Group - chanting] Stay—stay—stay [Final Chorus - Explosive, joyful] We’re staying for the post credit scenes Dancing through uncertainty Every twist and every unseen— Is a chance to be something new Staying for the post credit scenes Not who we were at seventeen But everything we’re growing through— Feels like something finally true No fade out, no last routine— We’re alive in the in-between [Outro] [music gradually strips back… callbacks reappear faintly] [Music box…] [Bass pop…] [Phone buzz…] [Female Vocals - Sequel - soft] …hello? [Male Vocals - Ned - gentle, smiling] Yeah… we’re still here [Musical Ending] [final upbeat chord hits] [Fade Out] [End]
