A mysterious watcher stands beside a sleeping dreamer at dawn, quietly questioning whether innocence can survive in a burning world, and whether there might be room in that dream for them, too. The original intent was of a father preparing to join a battle happening outside of the city walls, deciding whether to let her dream, or wake her for what could be a final farewell. If he does not return, will she remember him in her precious dreams, or will he fade into the burning world around her, left behind? I left it more ambiguous lyrically. The Latin translation is echoed in the lyrics beneath it, immediately after the 2nd chorus. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Soft light whispers promises Over dimming lands Cutting through the barren trees And parched fruit Soft light falling Falling over your sleeping face A warm smile betraying Your sweetest dreams (What do you dream?) Do you dream Of the distant past Of climbing high Over branches into the sunlight? (Tell me, please) Is there room For another Is there room Is there room for me? Somniasne de aquis fluentibus et caelis caeruleis invidia? (Is there room for me?) Nonne flammae super muros urbis surgunt? Estne pax post oculos dormientes latens? (A peace for me?) (Estne locus mihi?) (Estne locus mihi?) (Estne locus mihi?) Is there room For another Is there room Is there room for me? Do you dream Of flowing waters And blue skies Out of envy? Do not the flames Rise over the walls of the city? Is there peace Behind sleeping eyes Hidden? All can be forgiven If you come away with me All is forgotten If you let me in [Chorus] Is there room (Is there room) For another Is there room (aahhhhhh) Is there room for me? (Is there room for me) Is there room for me? (Is there room for me) (Is there room for me?)
