Silverroot Covenant — Ember of Midgard — Nordic Folk Rock

V5.5

# Silverroot Covenant ## [Atmospheric Opening] *(Distant female harmonies, whispering flutes and slowly building nyckelharpa)* Under the moss where the old roots sleep, A silver song is calling deep. Through woven mist, through hollow stone, It speaks a name I’ve always known. ## [Verse 1] I followed footprints made of dew, Where ancient branches parted through. The forest breathed against my skin, As though it knew where I had been. A hidden rhythm filled the ground, No mortal drum could make that sound. The tagelharpa drew me near, Beyond the border made of fear. ## [Pre-Chorus] Every shadow turned to gold, Every secret could be told. I placed my hand upon the tree, And felt the roots awaken me. ## [Chorus] I keep the Silverroot Covenant, The promise buried under stone. I hear the sleeping wilderness, And I will never walk alone. Let every mountain carry it, Let every river learn the tune. The earth remembers who we are— We are the daughters of the moon. *(Female choir: “Carry the song, carry it on.”)* ## [Verse 2] The night grew wild, the pathway closed, The thorns reached out, the cold wind rose. But in my chest, a lantern burned, A strength forgotten had returned. I sang one note—the darkness shook, The leaves became an open book. Each scar became a sacred sign, Each broken branch began to shine. ## [Pre-Chorus] Every shadow turned to gold, Every secret could be told. I raised my voice above the trees, And woke the hills from centuries. ## [Chorus] I keep the Silverroot Covenant, The promise buried under stone. I hear the sleeping wilderness, And I will never walk alone. Let every mountain carry it, Let every river learn the tune. The earth remembers who we are— We are the daughters of the moon. *(Female choir: “Carry the song, carry it on.”)* ## [Instrumental Passage] *(Driving deep drums, melodic guitars, nyckelharpa lead, tagelharpa pulse and soaring flute melody)* ## [Bridge] No crown was placed upon my head, No ancient words were ever read. The living world became my guide, Its endless power at my side. I am not bound by yesterday, The roots have shown another way. And where the silent forest grieves, I’ll bring the music back to the leaves. ## [Final Chorus] We keep the Silverroot Covenant, The promise living in our bones. We hear the waking wilderness— No soul must face the dark alone. Let every mountain carry it, Let every river learn the tune. The earth remembers who we are— We are the daughters of the moon. We keep the Silverroot Covenant, Through every age and every scar. The path ahead is shining now— We know exactly who we are. *(Large female choir: “Carry the song, carry it on!”)* ## [Outro] *(Music gradually returns to flutes, nyckelharpa and layered female voices)* Under the moss, the roots still sing, Of every life the dawn will bring. The ancient promise carries on— The night grows quiet… But the song is never gone.
