Salt of the Earth

"I believe all music talent comes from God as a way to express beauty and human emotion." — B.B. King Between the deep roll of blues and the steady flow of grace, I found my song. This is a reflection on the Sermon on the Mount—a prayer set to rhythm, offered up to God who gives us every note. It is inspired by the timeless call of Jesus found in Matthew 5. His words are a reminder that even in the dust of the highway, we are called to be the salt and the light for others. ✝️-MB ---------------------------------- Lyrics by : Modern Bard Lyrics and Music: © 2026 Modern Bard All rights reserved. ---------------------------------- ✝️If you enjoy this, check out my Christian music playlist: 👉https://suno.com/playlist/c9cb48dc-39b3-4570-825c-10dcc9f34dd6 ---------------------------------- They say don’t lose your flavor Hold tight to the vine Matthew 5 keeps callin’ Says let your light shine Every note Every step Every song divine Salt of the earth Let it pour Let it sting Shine His light Let the heavens ring Every step Every note We glorify the King Keep the fire burnin’ Don’t let it go cold This highway gospel’s worth more than gold When the dark comes creepin’ His truth I hold Don’t hide that flame Don’t let it fall A city on a hill shines brighter than all Salt of the earth Let it pour Let it sting Shine His light Let the heavens ring Every step Every note We glorify the King Every breath A song Every move A prayer His grace flows steady Fills the air Let the blues roll deep Let the gospel flare
