[Verse 1] You stop to watch a beetle cross the tile, Its shell takes on the kitchen’s little sun. You ask how far it’s walked, then wait a while; The day can spare a minute for one. [Pre-Chorus] You keep your promises, you own your part, You mend the thing you broke, you tell the truth. Still, wonder gets a chair inside your heart; It doesn’t make you less, it keeps you loose. [Chorus] Stay curious, stay kind, keep both feet down, Let questions lift you without pulling through. A grown heart can still turn the world around To see a paper moon and call it new. Be steady when the moment asks you to; Be young in how you look, not what you do. [Verse 2] You lose a game, you breathe before you speak, Then laugh at how the dog has claimed the prize. You let your smaller self be bright, not bleak; You choose your words and meet another’s eyes. [Pre-Chorus] You can say sorry without shrinking small, You can be brave enough to change your mind. The child in you can marvel at it all; The adult keeps your wonder safe and kind. [Chorus] Stay curious, stay kind, keep both feet down, Let questions lift you without pulling through. A grown heart can still turn the world around To see a paper moon and call it new. Be steady when the moment asks you to; Be young in how you look, not what you do. [Outro] A paper moon, a careful hand, Wide-open eyes, feet on the land.
