Court is now in session. The defendant: Religion. The charge: Misrepresenting Grace.” Religion walks in with gold and pride, Cross around neck but hate inside. Sermon so clean but heart’s defied, Grace in chains, truth crucified. He built his empire, stained with fear, Selling guilt, baptizing tears. He said, “Work harder, God will hear.” Grace said, “You’re blind — I’m already near.” Religion took the mic, slick tongue smooth, Preaching rules like holy groove. “Earn your love, make God approve.” Grace stood silent — truth don’t move. Religion flexed, “My crowd, my name!” Grace said, “Your fame’s your shame.” Religion gasped, “I keep men tame.” Grace replied, “I break their chains.” You see, religion wears a sacred mask, Preaches love but sets up tasks. Talks forgiveness, but never asks, If grace was gift or moral class. They run their temples like retail marts, Sell blessings, tear souls apart. Grace don’t deal in token charts, It gives for free — pure Kingdom art. Religion says, “They gotta earn.” Grace says, “They’ll never learn — Till mercy flips what wrath will burn, And love returns the sin they spurn.” Religion loves to rank and grade, Turns Christ’s blood into trade. Builds big walls from what He paid, Grace walks through unafraid. They hate that grace won’t play their game, Won’t kneel to tithes, won’t chase their fame. They twist His words to stake their claim, But grace ain’t church — it’s holy flame. Religion said, “You’re soft, you’re weak.” Grace said, “You chain what’s meant to speak.” Religion said, “You’re blasphemy’s peak.” Grace said, “You’re lies dressed up as meek.” Religion builds the pretty cage, Hides behind the prophet’s stage. Calls men holy, feeds their rage, Grace walks free — unbought by wage. Religion can’t stand loss of control, It fears the Spirit, it fears the soul. It locks the Word in mortal role, While grace pours fire that makes man whole. They dress it up, call it “law and love,” But love ain’t fear — it’s born above. Grace don’t bribe — it just removes, What sin made thick, grace disapproves. They pray loud, “Lord, look at me!” Grace says, “I died — now look and see.” Religion cries, “You’re setting men free!” Grace smiles, “That’s the whole decree.” Then Heaven thundered, voice like roar, “Religion, you’re guilty — no more!” The temple cracked, the veil was tore, Grace walked out — judgment floor. Religion trembled, titles shook, His gold fell off, his pride unhooked. The angels wrote in Heaven’s book: “Grace reigns — religion mistook.” Now man’s no slave to priest or brand, No middleman, no greedy hand. No “holy gatekeeper” command, Grace said, “Approach — I understand.” Religion faded — mask decayed, Grace stayed firm — unafraid. The Judge declared, “My Son displayed, The truth religion long betrayed.” So when they point and call you fake, Remember why that cross did break. Religion’s crown was Heaven’s stake, Grace took it back — for mercy’s sake. No denomination can contain, The blood that washes every stain. Religion lost — Grace will reign, And Heaven sings: “Forever slain.”
