Though this valley appears dark and deep And the way is filled with grief There’s a light on the hill in the distance Calling you calling me [Verse 1] Comfort one another with these words Do not be unaware As to those who have fallen asleep For ours is a hope … not a despair Jesus will bring His own unto Himself [Verse 2] Comfort one another with these words We that are alive and remain Eagerly await His return For with a shout the Lord will descend The dead in Christ shall rise [Verse 3] Comfort one another with these words Those of us who remain Shall depart … much in the same And be caught up …… to meet our Lord We shall be with Him forever Though this valley appears dark and deep And the way is filled with grief There’s a light on the hill in the distance Calling you calling me Comfort one another with these words Comfort one another We shall be with our Lord forever We shall be with our Lord forever
