The world has long since fallen apart. Dangerous Sandolms lurk beneath the desert sands, while a genetically modified young man named Zeus lies inside a heavily guarded research facility. After a rather chaotic incident, he finds himself sedated and restrained in a hospital bed. Beside him, a heart monitor tirelessly tracks his vital signs. *Beep ... beep ... beep ...* Somewhere between a drug-induced haze and a dream, the steady beeping of the monitor begins to blend with fragments of memories of the desert and its dangerous inhabitants. And suddenly, Zeus starts murmuring in his sleep: *“Beep ... Sandolm ... beep ...”* From this utterly absurd moment in a dark, dystopian role-playing game, a post-apocalyptic nursery rhyme was born, telling the story of a Sandolm who loves to sing. **So why does the Sandolm beep?** Because a heart monitor provided the rhythm, and Zeus supplied the lyrics in his sleep. [Verse 1] Once there was a Sandolm, Who lived beneath the sand. His scales kept him from burning In that hot and dusty land. The sun could blaze above him, But he was never beat. For this peculiar Sandolm Had a song so soft and sweet. [Chorus] Beep, beep, Sandolm, beep! Beep, beep, Sandolm, beep! Deep beneath the desert sand, He sings his little song so sweet. Beep, beep, Sandolm, beep! [Verse 2] Now Sandolms can be dangerous, With claws and rows of teeth. Their armored backs are hard to crack, Their weakness lies beneath. They're tasty, so they tell us, A most delicious treat. But this one little Sandolm Wasn't meant for us to eat. [Chorus] Beep, beep, Sandolm, beep! Beep, beep, Sandolm, beep! Deep beneath the desert sand, He sings his little song so sweet. Beep, beep, Sandolm, beep! [Verse 3] For this one was an artist, Who sang beneath the sun. He'd burst right from his sandy hole And sing for everyone. Sometimes he sounded grumpy, Sometimes his voice was sweet. But mostly all this Sandolm sang Was beep and beep and beep! [Chorus] Beep, beep, Sandolm, beep! Beep, beep, Sandolm, beep! Deep beneath the desert sand, He sings his little song so sweet. Beep, beep, Sandolm, beep! [Verse 4] So leave this little Sandolm Alone beneath the sky. He won't scratch or bite you then, Or smash your skull sky-high! And if you're smart, don't run away, Just sing his melody. And maybe then the Sandolm Will let you wander free. [Final Chorus] Beep, beep, Sandolm, beep! Beep, beep, Sandolm, beep! Sing along and keep the beat, And hope he doesn't want to eat! Beep, beep, Sandolm, beep! Beep, beep, Sandolm, beep! Deep beneath the desert sand, The little monster goes to sleep. [Outro – softly, music box fading] Beep ... beep ... Sandolm ... beep ...
