(Isaiah 52:13–53:12)

(The Lord's Suffering Servant) (Based on Isaiah 52:13–53:12) Verse 1 See, My Servant shall prosper; He shall be high and lifted up. Many were astonished at Him, His appearance marred beyond all men, His form beyond the sons of men. So shall He sprinkle many nations; Kings shall shut their mouths because of Him. What they had not been told they shall see; What they had not heard they shall understand. Chorus Jesus Christ, God's suffering Servant, Lamb of God for sinners slain; By Your cross You've brought salvation, Now forever You shall reign. Risen Lord, our hope and glory, Seated at the Father's side; All who trust in You are justified. Verse 2 Who has believed what we have heard? To whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? He grew up before Him like a tender shoot,Like a root from dry and thirsty ground. He had no beauty that we should desire Him, No majesty that drew our eyes. Despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows, acquainted with grief. We hid our faces from Him; He was despised, and we esteemed Him not. Chorus Jesus Christ, God's suffering Servant, Lamb of God for sinners slain; By Your cross You've brought salvation, Now forever You shall reign. Risen Lord, our hope and glory, Seated at the Father's side; All who trust in You are justified. Verse 3 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried all our sorrows. Yet we considered Him stricken, Smitten by God and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, And by His wounds we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; Each has turned to his own way. And the Lord has laid on Him The iniquity of us all. Bridge He was oppressed and afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth. Like a lamb led to the slaughter, Like a sheep before the shearers, Silent before them all. Cut off from the land of the living, For the transgression of My people He was stricken. Verse 4 Though He had done no violence, Nor was deceit found in His mouth, Yet it pleased the Lord to crush Him As an offering for our sin. He shall see the fruit of His suffering, He shall prolong His days. By His knowledge, shall the Righteous One Justify many, For He shall bear their iniquities. Therefore He shall receive the highest honour, Because He poured out His soul unto death, Was numbered with the transgressors, Bore the sin of many, And intercedes for sinners still. Final Chorus Jesus Christ, God's suffering Servant, Lamb once slain, now glorified. (Instrumental fade-out)
