He Did It For Me

He makes the rain drops and the snowflakes when the clouds can hold no more He makes the lightning flash and the lion roar and the wind that blows from the north He makes the days grow short and the leaves to drop in the coolness of the fall When I see the wonders of his love, I wonder why He made it all He made it for me! He made it for me! He made this marvelous creation just for me. He didn’t have to do a thing. He is the glorious King of Kings. But He created heaven and earth and He made it for me! He makes the sun to rise, He gives the birds a song at the dawning of the day He makes the thunder clap and the oceans roar as they praise Him with a wave He makes the stars to shine and the moon to glow in the silence of the night As I stand in awe of creation, I can’t help but wonder why Why did He have to die? Why was He crucified? Why was He nailed to Calvary’s tree? Why did He leave his fame and all the angels praise to save a wretch like me? Why did He leave his royal throne to be beaten on this earth? Why was He rejected by those He came to love? He did it for me! He did it for me! He bled and died on the cross to set me free! He didn’t have to do a thing. He could have stayed as King of Kings. But He came to earth and died and He did it for me! Now He is glorified. He is magnified He is high and lifted up on His heavenly throne He is exalted to the highest place He is worthy of my heartfelt praise He’s the Lamb of God, the Prince of Peace Jesus is the name above all names He did it for me! He did it for me! He bled and died on the cross to set me free! He didn’t have to do a thing. He could have stayed as King of Kings. But He came to earth and died He gave up His kingly life and He did it all for me! Yes, He did it all for me
