Verse 1 You need not walk upon the water, You need not turn it into wine, You need not call down fire from heaven For me to see your light shine. You need not move a mighty mountain, Or make the stars obey your call, Just reach your hand toward someone hurting— That may be the greatest gift of all. Pre-Chorus I don’t need thunder, I don’t need signs, Sometimes the greatest miracles Are simply being kind. Chorus You don’t have to be supernatural To be super in my eyes. You don’t have to rise up from the dead To make a spirit rise. Give us hope when hope is fading, Show us love when life gets tough. You don’t have to be supernatural— Being human is enough. Verse 2 Man from Galilee, you taught us To see the stranger as a friend, To care about the poor and broken, To forgive and love again. You need not heal with just a whisper, Or make the blind suddenly see, Sometimes you heal by simply listening To someone desperately in need. Pre-Chorus No burning bushes, No parted seas, Just a little courage And a little empathy. Chorus You don’t have to be supernatural To be super in my eyes. You don’t have to rise up from the dead To make a spirit rise. Give us hope when hope is fading, Show us love when life gets tough. You don’t have to be supernatural— Being human is enough. Bridge Man from Galilee, I wonder If we’ve missed what mattered most— Was it walking on the water, Or giving broken people hope? Maybe super is forgiveness. Maybe super is the truth. Maybe super is compassion When there’s nothing left to prove. Maybe super is the courage To lift somebody when they fall. Maybe love without a miracle Is the greatest miracle of all. Final Chorus You don’t have to be supernatural To be super in this life. You don’t have to rise up from the dead To make a spirit rise. Give us hope when we are hopeless, Give us love when times get rough. You don’t have to be supernatural— What you give is more than enough. Outro Man from Galilee, you showed us How powerful love can be. No miracle could mean much more Than loving humanity. You don’t have to be supernatural To be something wonderful. You don’t have to be supernatural… To be super.
