Jo (Jo): The introduction, which marks the beginning of the story. Ha (Ha): The development, which develops the story. Kyu (Kyu): The conclusion, which builds up to a climax. This structure originates in traditional Japanese performing arts such as Gagaku, Noh, and Kabuki, and is also applied to modern presentations and sales letters.
