I started writing Dear Mr. Chain while I’m on vacation after hearing an infectious jazz groove that just wouldn’t leave my head. Somehow that rhythm turned into Mr. Chain—not a person, but something that quietly follows you around. To me, those chains can be anxiety, stress, self-doubt, or anything that keeps adding another link until you forget what it feels like to be free.
