[Verse 1] Here’s a bedtime story, about one little sheep. There once was a shepherd, who watched while he’d sleep. And then one day the shepherd led them out to the field, But this one little sheep saw a flutter and he wandered away. He looked all around and he suddenly was alone, His heart started trembling, so softly he began to pray. [Chorus] “Jesus my Shepherd, can You hear me now? I am lost and I’m afraid somehow. Hold me close and lead me through, Gentle Savior, I trust in You.” [Verse 2] He didn’t know what to do, so he walked around and cried, He thought to himself, “I will never see my comfy home again.” [interlude music] But after a while came a wonderful surprise: The Shepherd was there... and He called His little friend. He picked him up and whispered, “You are found, and I love you oh so much.” The sheep felt so safe as he rose from the ground. [Chorus] “Jesus my Shepherd, You have found Your lost lamb, In Your loving arms is where I really am. Hold me close and lead me through, Gentle Savior, I will follow You.” [Bridge] The Shepherd is kind, and His heart is good, He loves every child like a true Shepherd would. The sheep loved Him back with a snuggle so tight, Held close to His heart in the soft, peaceful night. [Verse 3] The sheep was returned to the rest of the flock, He felt very happy, safe on his Rock. His Savior he promised he’d always recall, To look to the One who is watching us all. He wanted to stay by the Shepherd so near, Walking in love and with nothing to fear. [Chorus] “Jesus my Shepherd, I belong to You, All my little steps, You will guide me through. Hold me close and keep me near, Gentle Savior, always be here.” [Outro] ooh, ooh, ooh, mmm, mmm, mmm, (Yes, my Savior loves me) (Yes, my Savior loves me)
