Sleep Tight, Little Fool

[Verse] Tiptoe quick on the creaky floor Shadows dance where they’ve been before Your heartbeat’s loud It gives you away You made a wish Now you’ve gotta pay [Chorus] Oh sleep tight Little fool Don’t cry Don’t scream The demon’s here It’s not a dream You lit the match You called its name Now it’s a game Now it’s a game [Verse 2] Whispered winds through the open door Claws tap-tap on the corridor You thought it was just pretend Oh dear But look It’s real And it’s drawing near [Prechorus] It smells your fear It hears you breathe You can’t undo what you believe [Chorus] Oh sleep tight Little fool Don’t cry Don’t scream The demon’s here It’s not a dream You lit the match You called its name Now it’s a game Now it’s a game [Bridge] Don’t blink Don’t blink It loves the chase It’s grinning wide with its hollow face Too late Too late The deal is done The night’s begun The night’s begun
