[Verse 1] Engines crying in the crimson light Shadows rising with the fall of night Metal hearts begin to pound As sirens scream across the ground Letters folded in a jacket tight Photographs in fading light Runway trembling under steel This is fate on spinning wheels [Pre-Chorus] Into the fire we climb Through the thunder and time No turning back again Warriors in the wind [Chorus] We ride the wings of the burning dawn Through the storm where the brave belong Higher than fear, beyond the flame Written in sky, our names remain When the heavens break and the sirens cry We are the guardians of the shattered sky On freedom’s edge we fly on — Wings of the burning dawn [Verse 2] Dogfight spirals in the blue Silver ghosts come tearing through Tracers paint the morning red Dancing with the living dead Radio static, broken pleas Smoke and fire above the seas Every second, life and loss Rolling dice that fate has tossed [Pre-Chorus] Into the blaze we soar Hear the cannons roar No surrender in our eyes Only endless skies [Chorus] We ride the wings of the burning dawn Through the storm where the brave belong Higher than fear, beyond the flame Written in sky, our names remain When the heavens break and the sirens cry We are the guardians of the shattered sky On freedom’s edge we fly on — Wings of the burning dawn [Solo - Dual Guitar Harmony] [Bridge] If I fall from these blazing heights Tell my love I chased the light Through the smoke and through the rain I would do it all again Engines fade… but legends rise Fire reflected in our eyes Hear the roar — the final climb Eternal in the sky! [Final Chorus - Key Up] We ride the wings of the burning dawn Through the storm where the brave belong Higher than fear, beyond the flame Carved in clouds, eternal name When the heavens break and the world stands still We defy death by iron will On freedom’s edge we fly on — Wings of the burning dawn! Wings of the burning dawn! Forever we fly on!
